Tools such as RDKit support molecular workflows but are not automatically AI models. Their role is explicitly labelled.
Hardware / instrument
A documented biological application or ML workflow is required; a powerful processor alone is not sufficient.
Internal / collaboration platform
Company capabilities are not presented as downloadable or purchasable tools without documented access.
Evidence
Project documentation establishes reported functionality. It does not replace independent benchmarks or validation on your data.
Clinical boundary
Research pathology and variant analysis are not clinical clearance. Diagnostic tests and general clinical devices remain outside this research catalog.

- Define the input, output and biological question.
- Record code, checkpoint, preprocessing and data versions.
- Check licence and data handling requirements.
- Evaluate representative held-out data and a suitable baseline.
- Plan independent experimental or reference-data validation.
The September 2026 reference document informed the taxonomy. Conflicting claims, unverified versions and unsupported performance numbers were not automatically imported.
